The Kansas City Chiefs have their roots in Dallas, Texas, and were originally known as the Texans. When the franchise moved to Kansas City in 1963, the team’s name was changed, but the team’s colors remained the same. The Chiefs have always suited up in red and yellow. While alternate jerseys are sold to fans, the team has never worn an alternate jersey in a game. The chiefs home field, Arrowhead Stadium, is currently the world’s loudest stadium. Fans reached over 137 db on October 13, 2013, earning the stadium a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. With a capacity of 77,000, Arrowhead is also the fourth largest stadium in the NFL. The stadium and the team have gone through significant changes in recent years. A $375 million renovation of Arrowhead Stadium was completed in 2010, and major changes were made in the Chiefs’ organization after the 2012 season. The Chiefs acquired a new coach (Andy Reid), new GM (John Dorsey), and new quarterback (Alex Smith) going into the 2013 season.
